There’s a National Park near us (15 minutes away!) to which we’d never been until a couple of weeks ago. That oversight has now been fixed. It used to be the home of a painter called Weir and now it’s an artists enclave. And also a pretty tranquil place to walk the kids and dog. The kids all got sworn in as junior Park Rangers while we were there, and acquitted a rather nifty badge.

Topstone 2021
Summer means plenty of trips to nearby Topstone lake to swim. These photos are from 3 separate trips but I think we’ve now been at least 6 or 7 times as everyone loves it plus the kids need to swim!
Happy 4th Birthday Wilder
Saturday was Wilder’s 4th Birthday. This is the first one he’s really been aware of beforehand, and his excitement level was high. We started with opening presents, then I took him to the local train museum (we’ve never been before, it’s pretty good but definitely for kids - everyone else there was a little boy Wilder’s age plus or minus 2 years). Wilder got to ring a bell because it was his birthday. Then we went out for dinner and ate cake
