In reading related news (and one small upside of the quarantine) is that every evening I have been reading the girls 2 chapters of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory which they both loved (and me too). I think this is the first time they have both been old enough for a relatively long book. We finished it yesterday and have more Roald Dahl and some other books I liked as a kid lined up next.

Ilona's home schooling
For her home school today Ilona had to read a book for her teacher - maybe you'll enjoy it too? It seems she has got pretty good at reading

Wilder Loves Books
Wilder loves books (I guess it must be genetic). For a long time we've read to him at night but now he carries books with him everywhere and sometimes reads them himself. Yesterday morning while getting ready for school, he made me sit down outside on the drive with the books he wanted to show his teacher, and read Brown Bear, Brown Bear to me.

Fetch
There is a new fun game you can play with Bluet, where you ask her to bring you stuff, and she does! It is amazing. Here are some of the things she will bring if you ask (and she doesn't get distracted on the way):
Elmo
A shoe (not necessarily yours)
A nappy (v. useful in an emergency)
A book (random)
books (specific if you start to recite them from memory:
Where the Wild Things Are
The Very Hungry Caterpillar
The Monster at the End of this Book
Green Eggs and Ham (although she sometimes gets confused between this and Red Fish Blue Fish as they are both Dr Seuss).
A ball (of various sizes, which ever she finds first)
There are probably others, but these are the ones I have tried and know work (mostly)
