Snowing and Tubing

This weekend we took a 2 hour drive through Connecticut and up into Massachusetts to go skiing (Saturday, Emily and the girls, while I watched Wilder) and on Sunday morning tubing (basically sledging on a large inner tube). We went with our friends and neighbours, the Lyons, and all the kids had a great time - especially riding the chairlift. 

Skiing

This being Switzerland Emily took Bluet and Ilona skiing a couple of weekends ago. Here they are enjoying the slopes. As Wilder doesn't really like to leave his house, he and I stayed at home. And he ate his sock.

Last Sunday we went up the mountain where all of Zurich goes in the winter to go skiing (Flumseberg) - Ilona's first time, and she took to it like a penguin to ice and snow. Meanwhile Bluet hadn't forgotten everything she learned last year

Skiing

Last weekend Bluet went back to the mountain for her second skiing lesson, and this time we all went with her. This meant that Ilona got to do some sledging. When we got to the mountain it was snowing a lot, as you can see. Fortunately we dress our kids in bright clothes, so they can be seen in the blizzard.

Bluet is currently on a mountain somewhere outside of Zurich, learning how to ski. According to Emily she is doing very well because she knows everything about skiing having watched Peppa Pig, (including that you can ski in a dress)

They are on their way home. Bluet wants to go again, and can't wait to get ski poles
