A full house

Then we had a lot of visitors descend on our house - Steve, Dorthea, Caroline and Madeleine came from Swindon, and Boris, Liisa, Eva and Amos travelled to see us from Finland. It was just like the old days in New York and Fire Island, except with many added children. Anyway, we managed to have the first BBQ of the year, visit the Zoo and the Dinosaur Museum, and entertain all the kids with an Easter Egg Hunt.

Wilder in America

3 weeks ago Emily, Wilder and I went house hunting in Connecticut (spoiler alert, we didn't yet find one). Anyway, I think he appreciated the extra attention, trips to Target etc, and Ilona and Bluet had great fun with Veronika for the 3 days I was away.




We bought Wilder his first cheerios - he loved them. In fact, in the 2 weeks since he has more or less decided he doesn't want to eat anything he can't pick up with his own hand, which makes it a little tricker to keep him fed, and the floor underneath his chair clean.

Gran Helen and Uncle Nick

A couple of weeks ago Gran Helen and Uncle Nick came to stay, and help with the kids while Veronika had the week off.

We managed a weekend trip up to the woods, where Bluet and Ilona ran off to play in some pre existing shack.

Teeth

Bluet lost another tooth, as you can see (she has 2 new ones coming through). The tooth fairy came a day late [because of forgetfulness on the part of the fairy]. Bluet told us this was probably because she had lost the tooth that fell out ('somewhere in the kitchen'), so was not under the pillow; as the previous tooth she lost (and lost) was also not under the pillow, but the tooth fairy was not late, this must've meant that the second time the tooth fairy must've come by, and not found a tooth under the pillow, and as Bluet had her mouth shut whilst sleeping the fairy couldn't see whether or not the tooth was gone, and therefore had to come back to check again the next day before leaving the money. 

Skiing

This being Switzerland Emily took Bluet and Ilona skiing a couple of weekends ago. Here they are enjoying the slopes. As Wilder doesn't really like to leave his house, he and I stayed at home. And he ate his sock.
