Lost tooth II/Wilder on the stairs

Bonus picture of Wilder on the stairs

Monday night while in the bath, Ilona lost/pulled out her second tooth, the one on the top

Hello again

We are back from America (since last Thursday). In fact, it was one of our easiest overnight flights - the kids slept and/or watched TV without much fuss, and then because they were so tired, quickly adapted to the European time zone. So that was nice.

So lets see what the photos remind me of. First, we spent a lot of time at the cabin on the cow farm. We took 3 day canoe trips (there was too much risk of flash floods to stay overnight), and these were very fun - the kids loved jumping of rocks, swimming in the water and even learning to paddle a small canoe. Also, Bluet really got into fishing and caught a number of different fish with her kids fishing rob (as she calls it). However, I have no photos of these water based activities as I didn't want to drop my phone in the rivers. Here are some other things we did
One game the kids invented while they were away was to run round and around the Ozark cabin as fast as they could

Say 'cheeeese'

A random photograph assortment

I think these all count as playing together, atypical though they are

Finally

And so to finish the tale of our trip to the UK, we spent a couple of days with Gran Helen. While we were awaiting news of Bluet and Ilona's new cousin, we did some feeding of ducks

Climbing of stairs (Ilona's favourite game, but not mine). Much to Ilona's joy, she has mastered climbing several different kinds of stair, including ones made of rock and other great things.

And going through the Grafton Centre to more exciting places (though little was more exciting to Bluet than standing inside this thing, whatever it is).

Then we returned (over a week ago now) to Zurich, and awoke to a foggy Thursday morning.

Fortunately we haven't done much of interest in the last week so you are almost totally caught up. But just to be sure, here are Bluet and Ilona playing together a little bit more at the Viadukt and at home, as well as enjoying the tram and chalk drawing (which Bluet is fascinated to watch gradually was away every time it rains.

Summer in the city

Well I'm back from Florida (Bluet was so happy to see me yesterday she wanted to hold my finger all the way when we went out). It is about 70 bazillion degrees in Fahrenheits, or 35C* with lots of humidity. Early this morning we went to the park and Bluet played in the sand.

Later, we went to Roosevelt island, which used to be a small pox colony, but now is safe although it has only one road, and can only be reached by cable car from the rest of Manhattan. Bluet loved the cable car and looking at all the cars below. But not as much as she loved the stairs she found after brunch. But then stairs are her third favourite thing, after cheese and bananas.
