Long weekend

This weekend was extended for labour day (after which I believe it is unacceptable to wear white trousers, which rather messes with my wardrobe, I can tell you). Thus Emily's parents arrived in New York and Bluet was thrilled. She even remembered who they are despite the week apart

Saturday we headed to Wall Street and although this was a trip for the adults, Bluet was delightful (it may have helped that in the morning she got to go to the ancient playground with her Nana). We even had time to visit a pub once visited by George Washington, so we learned something too.

Sunday was all about Bluet and therefore we went to the Bronx zoo. It is ideal for a toddler who likes to toddle very fast (although the shoes she chose to wear were far from ideal and resulted in grazed knees (see picture). We saw lions, tigers, bears, giraffes etc etc and Bluet chased some peacocks. She also went eye to eye with a gorilla, an encounter they both enjoyed. The less said about the labourious subway ride the better. There are some videos I will post later this week.
