The wedding last weekend

Saturday began in Alexandria, a small town near DC that could probably be described as quaint. I felt very at home as we wandered around the terraced streets. If only more American cities used this classic design from the old country. We found a playground whic unlike in New York we could sit on a bench and let Bluet roam free. She loved it.

Post nap we headed to the wedding. There was an Indian ceremony with a slightly eccentric priest who insisted he was following the ceremony as laid out in the official book issued by the Indian government. The ceremony lasted for about an hour, and there was no way Bluet could keep still that long. We thought we could placate her by showing Sesame Street on the iPhone with no sound, but as soon as she saw Murray she squealed loudly, and had to be removed. Fortunately the ceremony was outside and next to a playground, so we took turns in watching her. We'd kept Bluet up until 21:00 at the rehearsal dinner the night before which may or may not have been a mistake, but it meant that Emily had to take her home before the dinner which was v sad.
